TIGER LILIIES

Home after work
Home after pleasure
Work feels
Wrong when
I don’t love
What I’m doing
Setting the truth
To the things
That make me smile

The while it takes
You, to reach back
Waiting
For your call
To reach me
Your hand
Against
Mine

Come to my side
Of the car
To this side
Of town
Take me down
To that place
We go
By the lake
Where the tulees
Stand tall

Breathe
Soft
Swallows call
& still
The loft
Cotton knot hammock
Our lock
Melted clock
The place
Where
The tiger lilies
Grow
Take me down
Take me down
Slow

AT NIGHT WE FALL

Flashing lights
Children
Scream
The clown face
Still down
Waiting for
The next quarter
Shoved into
My mouth
I operate

Black joystick
Big hands
Attention
At command
Corners
Of your eyes
You stare
Autumn lips
Porcelain
Fruit bowl hips
Such a sucker for you
I may always be

Swallowed
Whole
In just a few days
Read those books
Dulled more hooks
Punched holes
In my boat
Chewed me out
Sat me down
Bled on my
Cock, my chest
Invested
My neck
Remembers the way
Your teeth
So clenched
& tight

Surrounded uterus
We fight
Back-board
Squeaks
As your hands
Reach for mine
Precious neckline
You’re teaching me
How you climb
Over these chairs

Stop playing games
Like children
Ran the room
Shooting aliens
Bazookas
Doom
Confetti
Littered room
Janitor busy
Pushing
A broom
After you have left
Us alone
Yet again

Telling me you want
To be just friends
While you roll
Me over
Softer hips
Melted slouch
Sneaking past
Your sleeping aunt
On the couch
Bicycle, the kitchen
Kick stand
Stalled
Turn right
Down the hall
Into your arms
At night we fall

Well my friends
Don’t keep finding
Their way
Back inside my head
Half naked
Backside in bed
You shoveled my hands
Down your panties
Motioning to the left
Head faced pillow
Like the sun
Rise & fall
Your lungs
So much beauty
Watching you climax
Inside of my hand
Like a baby bird
I hold you, dear

Can’t you feel
The way I touch
Your face
Squeezing gently
Your head
Holding in place
A loving aura
Protected flora
Killing time zones
& thought waves
When were in
Each others haze
Loves near a maze
You’re just as
Lost in time
As leap year
So sleep dear
Sublime

In real time
I treat you
Like the rare
Exotic bird
I thought you
Were to be
But, treat me like shit
Because you chose the sea
Salted next day words
Low flying
Wounded birds
The past, your present
I don’t know what kind
Of man you’re
Used to having around
The world, so many
Times, I found
With thousands
I have sinned
I’ve stung

Yet today
I row this boat
Gently cloaked
Calmed
Simmered sun
Leather wrapped rope
A pressed black coat
Against the full moon
A silver spoon
Eating gold love
Mind fullness
Laughter, kindness
Something to learn
With your hand
Over my mouth
You muffle

You see-
I’ve earned this duffle
Bag, full of scars
I just don’t need
Any more bars
To hang myself from
& wonder
How long
I can hold my breathe
Waiting for you
To take responsibility
For your own actions

If it weren’t for
Pure satisfaction
It would have never
Had have happened
So take some time
Without me in line
Waiting for the next
Quarter to fall
Waiting
For the next sweet call
Or some
Regular
Irregular
Erratic change
Of your mind
I stand still

Feeling the same
Way I have
Since before
We even met
Intrigued
By your profile
Alone
Ready to bet
That this thing
Just might work
Out on its own

With coffee in hand
Delicately
Just before ten
I open the game
Zone in zen
Flashing lights
Children
Scream
The clown face
Still down
Letting you
Back in
Again
With your pocket
Full of quarters

FILLED WITH WINGS

So you return
Sweet love
Cocooned
From above
Clouded
Fallen skies
Angel gown
Angel eyes
Eyebrows
& caterpillars
Walls filled
With wings
Orthopedic
Pillow
Like your stomach
My face just sinks
Letting the softness
Of the evening
Come to velvet
Curtain dragging
Home
Alone
In my bed
Your floating brown hair
Like a dishwasher
Spinning
Splashing over
The pillow
You toss
& turn
So peaceful
Beside you
Like a canoe
We stay afloat
Holding hands over
This moat
Finally
We are home

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DEAD GIRL IN THE WORLD

It was there in the woods
The man built the fire
Bright & red
With heat from the dead
Oak branches lay
Cackled, crooked
Burning with fever
That I dreampt of the
Girl, I saw in my eyes
Forced out from the heat
The snake in the bushes
The fire
Its burns
Forever

Visualizations
More powerful
Than nuclear generators
Years of turbines
Spinning
I call the magic of the
Stars
Like time ports
From mars
People appear

& I wanted to taste
Your everything

Asked the people
In the city your name
I yearned, for your frame
Your grace, metal
& lace
To smell your hair
On my face

So the sheets
I washed
My body
Clothed
The altar
Clean & crisp
The midst of God
We spoke

We sat
Sulked
& slumbered
In red seats
These red sheets
Burning leaves
Of winter
You came

You offered
So divine
So numb
Your lips
On my thumb
Lashing
Your red muscle
Into my mouth

Traced hands over
Every limb
Ran fingers through
Every toe
Traced every bow
Of sinew that
Holds you together

Inside
We melted
Flesh & blood
Was this love
Or lust
Cooked in butter
Or rust

& so I ate your face
& I ate your eyes
The most delicate ears
Swallowed
Years
Of pain
You spread wide
Took us deep inside
Let the blood fall
For I drink it all

In the rain
We heaved in pain
Rode waves
In the night
The fire it burns
So bright
Embers hot
As molten steel
Through every inch
Of my core, you seep
Your dried blood
My chest
& the bed
Like sharp fangs
Our skin
Drizzled

As so the King James
Tells us of Paul
As he reached for wood
To build his fire
The snake came out
From the bush
Forced by the heat
And fastened itself
To his hand

A boy & the snake
The garden
The stake
Digging in the dirt
With teeth marks
He stings
Slinging into the night
In pain, in agony
The flesh of
Most beautiful
Dead girl in the world

On my way
The day before
You were born
We lay starring
Glazed, dazed
Stuck in a maze
Of glaucoma
Eating fresh plants
And crushed beets
Legs crossed
Arms tossed
Laughing in your car
Just yesterday
Our love was a jar
And it filled with
Berries & honey
And the spring scent
Of something grand

You taste my words
Take my flesh
Do your report
& then you left
In such a flurry
Nothing can be savored
In such a hurry my dear

Sitting by this grand fire
I understand
Desire
How you get so confused
By a man

The boy watches
The fire
As the snake
Slithers back to the bush

For she is the snake
And I am the push
That you need
To cover yourself
This way

So carry your shields
& wield your swords
For tomorrow our fire
Will still burn

My bicep still sore
From your snake
Bitten score

Wondering
Where in your head
You will lay me
Wondering
Where in your head
You think you need
To betray me

Wondering where you
Have slithered off to
My newfound love
